All of mankind are explorers. Every day in our lives, through books, in movies or in these virtual worlds. We are the explorers.

The Guild Alliance is built on the -I.D.I.C-. Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations. We took this idea and made it the basis for a community. The idea that all people are equals, one, and brothers and sisters.

Today I’d like us all to remember our friend and brother, Richard E. Ruiz III or as we knew him, Aurthree (R3).

He was an explorer . . . .

Whether riding over the fields of Azeroth or speeding through a galaxy far, far away.

I knew Richard only through SWTOR and the few conversations we shared. He was always, polite, helpful and a gentleman. Over the last few days I have been in contact with the Thottbot-Legends WoW guild and have reached out to the Mystic Misfits WoW guild also. I’ve learned a few things about Richard. He was an expert BMX bike rider, a fisherman, an avid gamer in recent years and a well liked and respected man.

Our thoughts go out to his family and friends and to our guild-mate Mel who has been friends with Rich for 20+ years.

We are the explorers . . . .

Rich is off to that next adventure and eventually all of us will follow him. I’m glad to know there will be someone there to show me how to get that XP and where the best loot is.
