It is with a sad heart I write to you today of the passing of our guild-mate and friend Richard E. Ruiz III, known as Aurthree (R3) in our Star Wars, The Old Republic ‘Infinite’ guilds. I do not have any detailed information only that he died on June 1st, 2015 at his home in Sacramento, California U.S.A.

I regret that I did not get to know Richard better. He of course was recruited to our ‘Infinite’ guilds last year and since then has been a participant in our gaming activities. I spoke with Rich several times through RaidCall and he was always polite, friendly and helpful person. I last spoke and teamed with him a few weeks ago during the Dread Fortress Operation.
I would like to say on behalf of all the Guild Alliance, it’s committee and all its members across all our guilds that our thoughts are with Richards family, friends and guild mates that new him. My thanks and thoughts are also with our guild mate Mel who contacted me to let me know the sad news and was Richard’s good friend.
We are planning a memorial spot on our guild stronghold for Rich as well as doing a Hall of Heroes feature for him, not as an interview, but a memorial, hopefully with some comments from associated guilds and friends. We will also be changing our Guild Alliance header banners for a time.

My deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers go out to R3’s family and friends. I didn’t know R3 very well, however I do remember when he joined IJO in our Star Wars guild , we teamed a few times, and he was very enthusiastic and friendly. i know you will never be forgotten!
