My laptop returned home … and seems to work like in the day one 🙂 It’s been over an year since I could not use that secondary video board, and I really forgot how SW:TOR looks in better quality video settings 🙂 Is really amazing 🙂

So, I send my laptop back to service for them to figure out what is wrong ….
I’ll keep you posted …in reply to: Time-Zones #2771As mentioned many times, I have found time zones one of the most challenging with games. I think we need to come to a decision where we only recruit in the time zones that we want and not go outside of that… As the majority of us play in the Australia time zone and If everyone agrees it might be the best way to stick with that time zone… I am not saying only recruit people from Australia/NZ as I enjoy playing and gaming with our international members, I think we should consider using the Australia time zone as a guide for recruiting members.
To me it is not about recruiting mass numbers of people just for the sake of having a ‘big’ fleet and only to find that we never get to see these members as they play in a completely different time zone to all of us. I have been in many fleets where it was isolating and at times I was the only one on because I was from a different time zone to them. We want to build community and not exclusion…
Just a few thoughts to consider 🙂

However, I don’t know if we should rule it out completely as there are quite a few members who do need it in order to understand the game and teaming tactics. I think we need to inform people that when we are teaming in any cases we do not use it, but for those who want to use it it could be offered.
For me personally, I know I will not use it and I would say ‘No’, however at the same time I am happy to financially contribute, if it is to be continued…
Skype might be an alternative, its free…

1. “Unless the member is an active Command Officer in the a given Guild, they do not hold any rights of policy or command and must at all times adhere to the individual rules and conduct indicated by the Guild leader.”
– Comment: such rules must be published on Guild Alliance forum to be recognised.
2. “A GAC member may not have an alternate (alt) character (toon) in ‘ANY’ Non-Guild Alliance Guild in the rank of an Officer i.e. a Command Position. This is consistant with the sub-rules for most of our GA affiliated Guilds. Any comittee member who is found to have done this will be asked to rectify the situation immediately and if they refuse will face a no confidence vote for removal from the GAC (see Committee Member Rules of Removal & Guild Leadership Succession Rules).”
– Comment: We should define the extent of “Officer” position role, as in some guild, it may be possible for someone to hold an apparent “Officer” position, but that only for being able to access resources. For instance, even in ISE, I would not consider an “Officer”/command position anything below “Dark council”. Or in IJO, the actual command positions are, the Jedi Council (Grand Master rank) and the Marshal. The rest, even the “General” positions are only given as trust/resource access base.
3. “Founders can be removed from the committee by a unanimous vote. A vote can be called only at a committee meeting where all the sitting GAC members are present. This action will most likely lead to the withdrawal of a guild from the alliance.“
– Comment: Not necessary, as that named founder might no longer be the leader of the said guild/fleet. (the last part, i mean)
4. Guild Alliance Naming Clauses
– Comment: The name of “Dawn Star Order” or similar, goes to …. 🙂 (the “Dawn Star” idea and project is an old project of mine, since Second Life, which apparently I wasn’t able to pursue yet, but who knows what future reserves 🙂 )I see here 2 choices:
1. Either autopromoting their XO’s or abide with the succession rule that guild/fleet have in place. (as it was the case with ISE)
2. In the case there is no succession rule established, then GA should nominate and appoint another leader. Until such nomination/appointment happens, the interim leadership would be passed to the GA member that plays that game more often.in reply to: Recruitment/Survival Strategies #2768I doubt that we can rule something about this topic, I guess we should just treat each case in particular.
But, I’m open to receive those new leaders as members in GA too (and their status could be either full, probationary or honorary member, depending on each case)
