Ok that’s cool.
I’ve just looked at the server list again now and all servers are down to ‘light’ and ‘standard’. π
From what I’ve seen during the beta, the “full” notion is ….”stretchy” as most of the times i’ve played on full servers without any noticeable lag.
On the other hand, the pressure for game access, given by curiosity and by the hopes of getting their prefered toon name is huge; from what i’ve seen on the official forum thread about “Early Game Access” there where more then 1000 ( one thousand) pages of postings. Most probably this eagerness will relax after release or after most peoples will reach a frustrating level above which they won’t be able to pass (*grins*).
So, again, all we can do is wait (unpatiently) and see πThere is a server status page which lists the servers. I don’t know if this will be all of them at release time though.

As I’m looking now there are a lot of full servers. All the West Coast ones are full except two which are at medium. I’m not sure how Bioware will handle this. I guess this might be normal for the release of such a huge game?
in reply to: New Game Issue (For me at least) #1093I ordered the collectors edition and it is quite a large package, so my latest estimate for postage was Jan 10. I’ve ordered stuff from Amazon before and it has taken longer than their estimate. We’ll have to see.
If the normal edition had a digital download option, sure the collectors edition would as well, i’ll have to check on this.
in reply to: New Game Issue (For me at least) #1092Hello,
I ordered my game copy from amazon too, on November 15th. I just checked with amazon and they say that the physical game will be delivered between December 23, 2011 – December 28, 2011. And that’s for eastern europe. I doubt that it would take longer then for Australia. As for the selected shipping speed, there was only one available for me: Priority International Courier.
What i hope is that amazon will send me a game key for playing the game, as the package i’ve ordered, the Standard Edition, also came with a digital download option.
I guess i’ll only have to wait and see.
Best regards,
Karain reply to: New Game Issue (For me at least) #1091I had also pre-ordered from Amazon and I upgraded my postage to Priority International. They said it would arrive between 23rd – 29th Dec. I ended up cancelling my Amazon order and then ordering an EA Origin key from g2play.net. I’m not sure the risks of doing this but if it works out it will have saved me $30 and I will hopefully get the key for the 20th. Also, even though I have cancelled my Amazon order I still have my early access key registered. I saw on the forums that they weren’t going to rescind the early access keys for cancelled orders.
Your right Kara. For some reason I had PvP in my head. π
Greetings,
I just checked Londi’s guild settings; and it was PVE. Are you sure that we should go on a PVP server model? During the beta-testing, as far as i remember we also tested the PVE model too.
Best regards,
Karain reply to: In-Game Event: Qβs Winter Wonderland #1072Thanks. I didn’t know about the winter Tribble. I will be breeding one of those to add to my collection. π
Thanks for posting those servers Flash, i’ve been looking for a list. I took screenshots from the beta, but this list is much easier for us to explore.
Also the point about the PvP server is a good one – will it interfere with our leveling, like in DCUO where you try and do a mission and the villains just start attacking you?
In addition there are very few West Coast PvP servers and i’ve got no doubt that they will add more on launch, however it occurs to me that most of these will fill up quick as there will only be a handfull of them unless they are adding quite a few more servers.
Londi’s original plans for the infinite Sith Empire (ISE) guild were to be on a PvP server, however this is a good point and I will try and catch him online to talk to him about it asap.
I found this article which has a list of the servers at beta and according to a tweet from Stephen Reid the servers will have the same names plus there will be a few extra.
http://swtorhumanrelations.com/2011/12/12/swtor-server-list/
These are the three that are listed as West Coast PvP servers:
- Mandaloreβs Helmet
Moomo Brothers
The Ebon HawkUnfortunately, in SW:TOR game model, each character/toon will be bound to a specific server since its creation.
That is actualy the purpose of this thread, to assure that we won’t start level up toons on different servers, which won’t be able to see eachother. For us to be able to play together it is mandatory to play the toons we want for the Guild on the same server.
The toons that are on different servers won’t be able to even communicate with other toons from other servers. Is pretty much the way that WoW used to work, but worse, as there is no common handle for all toons one player have in the game, to allow us to cumminicate on the handle level.
Best regards,
IskaraIs it possible to switch servers once a character is created? Also, we are not going to get ganked regularly on a PvP server are we?
in reply to: In-Game Event: Qβs Winter Wonderland #1073Hi all,
Just some info about the Q Winter Wonderland Event.
1. The items available to buy from the wonderland are bound. The food items are not bound and may be sold or traded.
2. The Snowballs are consumed on use.
3. If you feed any food item purchased from the wonderland to a tribble you breed a ‘Winter Tribble’. The food items are also being sold by people on the exchange and should be available (at a high price) after this event is over.
4. Seek out all the snowmen to get an accolade.
5. The C-store purchase is a random drop lottery.
6. The Boots expire and have a 30-Day (of use) countdown timer.
7. If you use the boots at the skating rink you get new skating/jumping animations
8. Nanopulse Lirpa and Bat’leth weapons were available for a limited time from the Yoda-like Ferengi vendor.
9. There is an accolade for completing the race 10 times.
10. The Gold Pressed Latinum (GPL) Conversion Unit gives out:
1 Q tradeable item = small package 1000 GPL
1 pet = large package 7000 GPL11. The event ends on January the 9th
Heya,
I agree totaly π
As for the server selection, i propose to be one from teh middle of the list and maybe with not such a sound name, as psychologicaly those would be the ones less prefered by the great majority and will have more chances to stay less filled π
