I’m not sure Kara, takes a little while for me as well maybe 10-20 seconds. Probably because the wordpress forum bbpress is a bit slower that the old phpbb as its using the wordpress database rather than a dedicated dB. I’ss search around the web and see if there’s any optimizations I can make.
