If you doing a lot of repetitive tasks in STO or anywhere then the easiest way is to crate macros.
If you have a gaming-specific keyboard like a Logitech or Raser brand board then they usually come with software that allows you to make macros pretty easily.
If you are using a regular keyboard or a board that is built-in, like a laptop keyboard then you will prob have to install a macro program. Xante has given me this link to a free macro making program. i have not tried this myself however it looks like it will do the trick.
In STO the macro is good for farming, ie. Winter Wonderland ornaments. I use the combo f1f121212 – this picks up and takes, then fires weapons, etc
