Update One: Catwoman
Sharpen Your Claws And Prepare For A Super-Powered Cat Fight
The world may be in turmoil as Brainiac continues his invasion but some things will never change; there is always some nefarious new plot unraveling and this month is no different. Mysterious and powerful Egyptian artifacts, housed at the Gotham Museum, are affecting unsuspecting security guards and employees in unexpected ways. Undeterred by this danger Catwoman is determined she will have these ancient cat artifacts as her own. We won’t let the cat out of the bag, but chase her across rooftops to uncover this legendary mystery and along the way you’ll earn valuable rewards.
Love is in the air, and the battles between Wonder Woman and Circe have disrupted the magical balance, upsetting the Goddess of Love. Fountains have sprung up across Metropolis where players can enter the cherub shadow realm, where – as cherubs – they can celebrate and fight to determine the true meaning of love.
DCUO Fans can look forward to the February update as the first of many new monthly adventures. This month the adventure continues with:
- New Batcave Raid – 8 players will have the opportunity to infiltrate and retake Batman’s Inner Sanctum, which has been overrun by OMAC and the Dark Knight’s own corrupted technology. Fight along side Batman against Brother Eye!
New Appearance Items – Earn a Harlequin Clown suit or a Cherub disguise through a variety of holiday activities.
Goddess of Love Alert – Join up with 3 others to decide the epic battle between Devotion and Scorn once and for all.
New Races – Can you catch Catwoman as she leaps across buildings in Gotham City?
New Collections – All new collection sets will allow players to continue finding these hidden items.
New Themed Missions – Enjoy various missions that will challenge the player in combat, jumping, and much more.
A New Bane Duo – Another Duo has been added for your enjoyment! Pair up with another player and take on Bane for a chance at great loot.
New PvP Ring Event – Available on both PvP and PvE servers, Heroes and villains race to either save or steal valuable bags of diamonds from armored vans.
An Auction House – Players may now buy and sell tradeable items on a Broker in The Watchtower and Hall of Doom.
New Armor – Make your way to the Gotham Museum and help Catwoman to receive pieces of brand new Mayan armor!

A mysterious prankster from the 5th Dimension, Mr. Mxyzptlk is up to his old tricks in Metropolis.- Collect Luck Tokens: You don’t have to be lucky to get these tokens, but will have to endure the constant shenanigans of Mr. Mxyzpltk.
New Appearance Items: Use tokens to dress in the finest Celtic clothing available!
Drinks on the House: Have a round on Mr. Mxyzpltk! Special drinks available for purchase with tokens will temporarily improve your stats.
New Collections: Chase a new Four-Leaf Clover collection and unlock a lucky reward.
New Race: Run races like never before! Dodge distractions and pranks requiring cunning and concentration.
Update Three: Ra’s al Ghul’s Revenge

Bent on reclaiming the Earth from the “unworthy,” Ra’s al Ghul is performing a dark rite that threatens to wipe humanity off the face of the planet. Shocked by her father’s act, Talia al Ghul has sought out your help in preventing untold destruction. It’s up to you and three friends to enter this new four-player Group Combat Alert, stop the mad man and earn some of the top loot available in the game. Succeed in your fight, or suffer at the hands of Ra’s al Ghul’s well-trained assassins.Special Event: Poison Ivy vs. Swamp Thing
The Swamp Thing makes his DC Universe Online debut in the latest Special Event for all players. Heroes will join Swamp Thing and help him stop Poison Ivy, who seeks to strengthen her powers and increase her mastery over plant life. Villains will aid Poison Ivy in her mission, and both sides will clash in the fight to control Gotham City’s citizens and vegetation.- Collect Seeds: Grow your collection of items by collecting Seed Pods, but beware the dangers of fighting rampaging plants.
New Appearance Items: Use Seed Pods to dress in new, festive seasonal gear.
Snack on Nature’s Goodness: Need a boost? Use Seed Pods to grab a bag of fruit snacks to temporarily buff your stats.
New Collections: Find seeds throughout Gotham City and Metropolis to unlock a brand new item.

Oolong Island Group Combat Alert: Hard Mode
Chang Tzu and T.O. Morrow are at it again and threatening to take over Oolong Island. You and three others will battle your way through robots, Metaloids and various other enemies in an effort to save the scientists.Two-Face Mission Series Duo
If you thought The Penguin was tough before, grab a partner and return to his dark lair to earn some new rewards. Assist the twisted Two-Face and take on new enemies, such as the intimidating Gotham City villain Clayface, and experience a new boss battle against The Penguin.
Update Four: Enemies Unite
Superman’s Fortress of Solitude, the last bastion of Krypton’s legacy on Earth, is now the site of our planet’s final stand. Brainiac now controls the infinite power of the Sun Stones and you and seven other friends must team with reluctant partners Superman and Lex Luthor to battle your way through hoards of Brainiac’s deadly machines to reach the Fortress itself.
The Chasm, a new eight-person Group Combat Raid, introduces intense combat and amazing new Tier Three Kryptonian gear for you to earn. Take the fight to Brainiac now before he corrupts Krypton’s power and destroys the Universe.

Update Five: The Fate Of The Fortress
The Fortress of Solitude stands on the brink of collapse. When it falls, our world, and what is left of Krypton’s legacy, will go down with it. Left with no choice, Superman must turn to his greatest foes for help, or else lose everything. But even a team of Kryptonians with their limitless power, and Lex Luthor, will not be enough. You and seven friends must join with them in an epic battle to defeat Brainiac. The Universe hangs in the balance.
This latest Group Combat Raid takes you in to Superman’s majestic Fortress of Solitude where you will fight against a hoard of Brainiac’s devastating Sunstone-powered minions. Destroy them, and come face-to-face with Brainiac’s most powerful creation yet – the deadly Avatar of Meta. A wealth of rewards await those who can help turn the Fate of the Fortress.

Dueling
Now you can fight your friends to see who has the greatest skill. Use the action menu to challenge another player, or turn on Dueling Mode and allow anyone to challenge you.The Batcave Deathmatch PvP Arena
Players can now battle against each other in a simulation of The Batcave. Look for The Batcave (2 vs. 2) under Arenas: PVP in your On Duty menu,The HIVE Moon Base Group Combat Alert Hard Mode
The HIVE Moon Base Group Combat Alert is now available as a Tier 2 Hard Mode. Look for it under Alerts: Hard T2 in your On Duty menu.
Game Update 6: The Deadly Double-Cross
Brainiac has been defeated, and the Fortress of Solitude purged of the diabolical machine’s evil influence. But the cost of victory might prove too much for even Superman. The rogue Kryptonian, General Zod, has betrayed the Man of Steel and Lex Luthor. He now seeks to capture the Fortress and topple all of Earth itself.
The third and final chapter in the Fortress of Solitude Raid series pits you and seven friends against some of the most vile criminals in the Universe. Free of the Phantom Zone prison, and powered by Earth’s yellow sun, the hoard of Kryptonian villains released by General Zod will stop at nothing to keep their liberty, and conquer our planet.
Topple General Zod and a wealth of new Kryptonian gear, weapons, and Marks of Krypton are yours for the taking. Do you have what it takes to overcome the Deadly Double-Cross?

Game Update 7: Season’s Greedings
The season of giving has gone awry in DCUO’s latest game update: Season’s Greedings. Larfleeze, greedy, devious leader of the Orange Lanterns, is lashing out at Santa Claus for leaving him empty handed this year. To retaliate, Larfleeze has hidden the stolen holiday items throughout Gotham City and Metropolis until he can ship them back home to the forbidden territory of the Vega System.
Heroes and villains alike will take part in quests to find the stolen presents. Heroes will receive direction from Green Lantern Hal Jordan in the Watchtower, while Villains will hear a similar request from the wielder of yellow light, Sinestro in the Hall of Doom. In order to locate the presents, players must search for, and defeat, Larfleeze’s carefully crafted orange construct enemies.

Game Update 8: Research & Development
Since Brainiac’s arrival, scientists and engineers have been working tirelessly to learn everything possible about the Exobytes Lex Luthor released into the atmosphere. Though many of the Exobytes have found their way to human hosts, more have gone dormant and begun to decay. Game Update 8: Research & Development introduces a new system, brought on by breakthroughs in nanite technology, that will allow Heroes and Villains to find and utilize these unclaimed Exobytes and create powerful Equipment Mods and Consumables.
Beginning at level 10, players can begin utilizing the Research & Development system to give them an edge in battle.
•Gather the Exobits and Exobytes scattered throughout Gotham City, Metropolis, and Central City.
•Some gear that you collect from fallen enemies will be able to be deconstructed at Research & Development stations, providing additional components.
•Acquire Plans for the Equipment Mod or Consumable that you need in the course of your adventures, or purchase from a vendor.
•Find a Research & Development station in a Safe House or in the Hall of Doom or Watchtower to create your new item.
•Equipment Mods can be socketed into gear for powerful benefits, and various Consumables will lend you bonuses for short durations of time.
Game Update 9: Assemble for Battle
Heroes and Villains from all walks of life have more opportunities than ever before to get in on the action. With that in mind, Game Update 9: Assemble for Battle introduces two new features: Novice Raids and Role Optional Alerts.
Novice Raids
•Get into the fight sooner with alternate versions of all three Fortress of Solitude, the Batcave, and the Kahndaq raids.
•Experience the same epic storylines and all the action of Expert Raids in a more forgiving format.
•Earn the same kinds of rewards (though in lesser quantities) so you can continue to gear and grow your characters.Role Optional Alerts
•Queue faster for Alerts and form groups with any combination of roles.
•Utilize the Team Buff to make up for whatever role or roles your group is lacking, as long as you stick together.
•If you don’t have a Tank, everyone will take less damage overall.
•If you don’t have a Healer, any Controller or Damage character will trigger a small amount of regeneration when your health dips below a certain point. If you’re a Tank, you’ll always have some regeneration.
•If you don’t have a Controller, everyone will get varying amounts of additional power periodically.
Game Update 10
Along with a host of bug fixes, Game Update 10 continues the matchmaking improvements begun in Game Update 9 with a completely revamped On Duty User Interface. The system and interface have been rebuilt from the ground up with greater flexibility and convenience in mind so that players can group up and get playing faster.
New On Duty UI!
The new On Duty UI reflects the Mission Journal in design, providing all the information and options you need to queue for instances in one simple window, including the ability to queue for any combination of instances you want. You’re no longer limited to one or all!Character Background Selection!
Legendary players and players that have purchased at least one DLC pack will have the option to change their Character Selection Background on the Character Select Screen!
Game Update 12
Since Game Update 11, players have seen the addition of several exciting new features!

We’ve improved the overall look and feel of our Bank UI. Along with better manageability and messaging, the Shared Bank is now located on its own tab. Players also now have the flexibility to split stacks of items within the Bank UI that they once only had within their Inventory. We’ve also included the ability to quick swap items into your Bank or Shared Bank! With one click (Right mouse button on PC, X on PS3) you can instantly move items over without the need to pick items up and drag them to an empty space.Alert Teleporters!
Our Alerts have gotten the new Duo treatment. We have added Teleporters outside the boss fights for Alerts, where applicable, to allow players an extra 15 seconds to enter the boss fights after the boss fight door closes.
Game Update 13
Spring Seasonal Event!
The Spring Seasonal Event has returned! Poison Ivy is wreaking havoc with the people of Gotham’s allergies and it’s only getting worse. Luckily for the innocents, Swamp Thing is calling for help in thwarting Poison Ivy’s plans. Relive the events from last year or, if you missed them, don’t miss them again!
New Tokens of Merit!
You’ve worked hard, and it’s time you got credit! You can now turn your unused and excess Marks into Feats, and watch your Feat and Skill Points shoot up! Tokens of Merit vendors are now available and can be found in the Watchtower War Room and the Hall of Doom Pit areas. Tokens of Merit can be purchased using all existing PvE, PvP, and Seasonal currencies. These can be consumed and used for new Tokens of Merit feats!
DCUO Raid Teleporters!
We have added teleporters outside the boss fights for Raids, where applicable, to allow players an extra 15 seconds to enter the boss fights after the boss fight door closes.
Collections Update!
Listen up! The Collections system has been updated to give players a fuller experience with Investigations and Briefs! We’ve begun adding audio effects to the voice recordings of Collections to exhibit the source of the recording; from CB radio, to TV, to Satellite, to even Magically transmitted recordings! In addition we have visually supported this by adding a UI element that helps reflect the newly processed transmission with special icons in the Communicator window.
PvP Changes!
Many changes have been made to PvP in preparation for the upcoming DLC4, including the addition of Counter Attack Immunity, health and toughness tweaks to PvP armor, and more! To see all the details, make sure to check the forums.
Game Update 14
Task Force X & Suicide Squad PvP Matchmaking
Prepare to be enlisted by Amanda Waller into Task Force X and the Suicide Squad, the black ops division of her agency! Under Waller’s directive, heroes and villains can be placed on the same team in PvP Arenas.
The PvP Matchmaking system has been updated to always try to place you with members of the same alignment (Heroes with Heroes and Villains with Villains) but when the PvP Matchmaking system runs out of options, it will allow for players to be temporarily assigned to a team with the opposing alignment until the PvP match is over.
Promethium Lockboxes: “The New 52” Inspired by Gear and Auras!
We’ve added new items to Promethium Lockboxes! Now you can collect new Gear Set style items inspired by DC Comics “The New 52.” We’ve also added seven different color Auras that your character can now wear as an Accessory!
Tier 3 PvP Gear!
Marks of Tactics have replaced Marks of Conquest, and new PvP armor is available in the Watchtower and Hall of Doom!
Game Update 15
NEW Arkham Asylum Arena Map!
Exclusive for “The Last Laugh” and Legendary members, the Arkham Asylum Legends PvP map is now available as an Arena PvP map! Jump into the insanity with your own characters. Will you find victory in the asylum?
Re-Spec Device Update!
The Re-Spec Devices in the Hall of Doom and the Watchtower have undergone a serious upgrade to allow everyone more choice, information, and convenience! You now have the ability to reset just your skill points, just you power points, or both. You’ll also be able to see more information on what each option costs and your current cash balance. You can easily find the Re-Spec Device by going to your HQ and checking the map UI.
