Giveaway Announcement!

To celebrate our upcoming 4-year anniversary event (which starts next Thursday, 1/30 – more details soon), and to thank you for making 2013 the best year for Star Trek Online yet, we are excited to announce that we will be giving away FREE C-Store items next week! As we will feature something different each day, you won’t want to miss out!
Each day around 10AM PST, starting this Monday, January 27, 2014 and until next Wednesday, January 29, 2014, we will be posting a news article letting you know which item is free! To claim it, simply log into the game on an eligible character (we’ll list the eligibility requirements for each item in the individual news posts), visit the in-game C-Store, navigate to the item listed in the news post, and click the “Claim” button before the next day’s giveaway. The best part is that the price for each of the announced items will be 0 ZEN, and they are account-wide unlocks!
We hope you are as excited about this awesome promotion as we are, and we thank each of you for your support of Star Trek Online.

Pre-Anniversary Giveaway – Day 1

To celebrate our upcoming 4-year anniversary event (which starts this Thursday, 1/30), and to thank you for making 2013 the best year for Star Trek Online yet, we are excited to announce that we will be giving away FREE C-Store items this week! As we will feature something different each day, you won’t want to miss out!
Today’s FREE C-Store item is the Polytrinic Acid Horta Combat Pet!
The Polytrinic Acid Horta fed on various ores as it developed. Its silicate geology converted the metals into acids and salts, giving it more powerful acid attacks than a Horta Ally. However, it is not as resilient as other Hortas.
Note: This is a special version of the Horta Combat Pet in that it is an account-wide unlock, and reclaimable if dismissed. It is normally a single-character unlock that must be repurchased if dismissed, traded, etc.
To claim:
1. Log into the game on any character (any faction may claim this item)
2. Visit the in-game C-Store via the button on the minimap
3. Navigate to the ‘Personnel’ tab on the left
4. Scroll down to and click on the ‘Polytrinic Acid Horta’ item
5. Click the “Claim” button towards the bottom-right of the interface before the
NOTE: If you already have this item, you will be unable to claim it again. To ensure you obtain access to the account-wide version, make sure to claim the promotional Horta on a character that has not claimed it yet.This FREE account-wide unlock must be claimed by tomorrow, Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 10AM PST when it will revert to its normal price.

Today’s FREE Federation C-Store item is the Defiant Bridge Pack!

To claim:
1. Log into the game on a Federation character
2. Visit the in-game C-Store via the button on the minimap
3. Navigate to the ‘Ships’ tab on the left
4. Click on the ‘Bridge Packs’ tab on the top
5. Scroll down to and click on the ‘Defiant Bridge Variants [3]’ item
6. Click the “Claim” button towards the bottom-right of the interface before the date and time below
NOTE: Purchase of this option unlocks these bridges for all Federation characters on an account. These bridges can be used with most Federation Starships.Today’s FREE Klingon C-Store item is the Bird of Prey Bridge Pack!
Take command on six of the finest bridges that the Empire has to offer! This pack includes the Quv, Vlt, Chav, Qempa’, Batlh and Yol bridges.
To claim:
1. Log into the game on a Klingon character
2. Visit the in-game C-Store via the button on the minimap
3. Navigate to the ‘Ships’ tab on the left
4. Click on the ‘Bridge Packs’ tab on the top
5. Scroll down to and click on the ‘Bird of Prey Bridges [6]’ item
6. Click the “Claim” button towards the bottom-right of the interface before the date and time below
NOTE: Purchase of this option unlocks these bridges for all Klingon Empire characters on an account. Pre-Anniversary Giveaway – Day 3

As we will feature something different each day, you won’t want to miss out!
Today’s FREE Federation C-Store item is the Saber Escort Refit: Gladius Class!
A variant on the Saber Class that saw extensive action during the Dominion War, the Gladius has an updated look and technology for Starfleet Captains in the 25th Century. The Gladius Class comes equipped with an Impulse Capacitance Cell that can create an Impulse Burst, greatly increasing the ship’s speed and defense in combat for a short period of time. This console may be equipped in any console slot of any ship that can be flown by a Federation captain.
To claim:
1. Log into the game on a Federation character that is at least a Lieutenant Commander (level 10) and has an available ship slot
2. Visit the in-game C-Store via the button on the minimap
3. Navigate to the ‘Ships’ tab on the left
4. Click on the ‘Federation Class’ tab on the top
5. Scroll down to and click on the ‘Gladius Class’ item
6. Click the “Claim” button towards the bottom-right of the interface before the date and time below
NOTE: Purchase of this item unlocks the ship for all Federation characters on an account. Once you own the ship, if it has been discharged, it can be reclaimed via the C-Store or at Ship Requisitions.Today’s FREE Klingon C-Store item is the Qorgh Raptor Refit: SuQob Class!
The Qorgh Raptor Class that has served the Empire so well in battle has been updated with new technology for the 25th century battlefield. The SuQob Raptor comes equipped with a Bio-Neural Warhead. This unique weapon allows you to launch a heavily armored tricobalt explosive equipped with shields and a point defense system that is piloted by an onboard bio-neural artificial intelligence. This warhead will deal massive damage to a target if it reaches its destination. This weapon may be equipped on any ship that can be flown by a Klingon captain.
To claim:
1. Log into the game on a Klingon character that is at least a Commander (level 20) and has an available ship slot
2. Visit the in-game C-Store via the button on the minimap
3. Navigate to the ‘Ships’ tab on the left
4. Click on the ‘Klingon Class’ tab on the top
5. Scroll down to and click on the ‘Qorgh Refit’ item
6. Click the “Claim” button towards the bottom-right of the interface before the date and time below
NOTE: Purchase of this item unlocks the ship for all Klingon Empire characters on an account. Once you own the ship, if it has been discharged, it can be reclaimed via the C-Store or at Ship Requisitions.These FREE account-wide unlocks must be claimed by tomorrow, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10AM PST when they will revert to their normal prices.
